The Afrikaans edition of The Doll That Grew, entitled Die Pop Wat Gegroei Het, is now on sale on Amazon.  Here is the buying link.

Mma and I are at the hospital for her monthly check-up. I also have a number of client deadlines In need to meet while the nurses take Mma's blood pressure, check her sugar and basically make sure that her healing is on track.  Enjoy your day.

Thank you Lori. The check up went much better than I hoped: Mma's sugar levels dropped from 16.1 to 5.4, which is within normal range. Blood pressure was also normal. The doctor was so pleased with her progress and our next check up is only in four months. Now all we have to do is for her to keep taking the chronic meds and eating well. We're very excited!

I have read the English version of this book, published by Jean Margaret Jean Tuininga in 1997 - The Doll that Grew. I have noticed that you did not mention her as the original writer - ???? You should, in order not to violate the rules of plagiarism. Here is a link to Tuininga's page - http://bibletruthpublishers.com/margaret-jean-tuininga/authors/stories-biographies/pl6x2x203

Hello Martie. Thank you for the heads up.

I wonder if you read my book and found it to be exactly the same story as Jean Margaret Tuininga, or if the titles are similar but the stories different.

At least, I'd like to believe so until the matter is attended to, because my original children's story, The Doll That Grew, was published as an illustrated children's story by Macmillan Boleswa in 1993 and was for years prescribed as a secondary reader for primary schools in Botswana and Swaziland. That would be a matter of public record and would show that my story was published by a mainstream publisher almost 4 YEARS before your friend's story came out.

The original is also archived by a number of university libraries.

So if the stories in the books are exactly the same and your friend's book was published in 1997, then mine came earlier and it would be your friend who should have acknowledged me as the original author.

I will read her book and based on the contents of it, decide how to proceed further.

Thanks for your response, Damaria. Good to know my conclusion was wrong. Thanks to your response nobody will query the authenticity of 'Die Pop Wat Gegroei Het'. Best of luck ahead with your writing projects.
