No, I Didn't Order That!

I'm not in the mood to work. Yesterday was a public holiday ( National Human Rights Day) and my head is insisting that the holiday should have lasted until Monday. But I have a mini-crisis on my hands. A guy who does some work for Damaria Senne Media sent me a product that is not according to client specifications.

When I queried it, he said it's impossible to do the assignment as required and the client will just have to take what is being given. Really? And he'd be OK with ordering Nando's periperi chicken and getting McDonald's Big Mcmeal instead?

So to get the assignment redone, and meet the client's needs, I now have to find another person to do the job and to get them to do the assignment as urgently as possible. Joy:-(

I'm definitely not sending the guy work ever again, because honestly, I can't trust him anymore. Once I've sorted out the mess, I'm going to spend the rest of the day writing two short articles due tomorrow and reviewing book chapters for the big publishing project I've been involved with the past couple of months.

How has your week been so far? And how was Human Rights Day?

Thank you ladies. The job has now been assigned to a new person. I hope that he can deliver ASAP.

Oh wow, he actually said it couldn't be done? Obviously, his statement shows he's not used to pleasing clients, either. They'll HAVE to take what's being given? Seriously?

I don't blame you. I'd tack his name to my wall with a big X through it. He'd be my reminder of why some people fail at this business.

He needs to have "customer service" tattooed to his forehead so he sees it every morning in the mirror.

@Lori - I'm definitely done with him.
@Pam - LOL! can you imagine how many people would walk around with tatoos on their foreheads if we did that to every service provider who provided lousy customer service?
