Blowing Judy Croome's Vuvuzela!

Congratulations to Judy Croome for being shortlisted for the AFRICAN WRITING PRIZE FOR FLASH FICTION 2011, for her story, The Place of Doves. It was a very pleasant surprise to check the site for the results and see your name mentioned there. It's great to see friends do well.

The overall winner was Jane Bauling, with her story, Settling.  Nice one, Jayne!

DAMARIA! Pwaaaarp! Oh wait, am I allowed to blow my vuvuzela too???? :) Thanks so much for the shout-out! It was an exciting moment, although I've been distracted with the making of my book trailer (which is done, and will be revealed on Monday!) So this past week has been a good week in two ways: firstly, by the exciting writing happenings, and secondly, by the amazing support of my writing friends! :):)
