How the birds chose a king

I've posted my retelling of the story of "How the birds chose a king," sometimes also called "Why an owl only comes out at night" here.

I felt that the issue revolved around whether it was fair for uCilo to hide under the eagle's armpit. My story is also about democracy, and levelling the playing field so everyone has a chance to succeed.
