My brain has been completely fried. It feels achy and fuzzy, like I’m hung over from a serious drinking bout. Only I’m a tea-totaller.
I’ve been doing lot of revising and rewriting – for both work-related projects and my own creative writing stuff, and it's hard going. I’ve previously mentioned that I have a very short attention span, so it’s hard read analytically and remain focused for long periods of time.
So I look for excuses to do something else– like take a tea break, respond to emails that are not really urgent, post on the blog ( doing this post was an escape) and read my favourite online publications. I knew things were bad when I realized I’d been staring into space for over 5 minutes, thinking about nothing in particular.
Any strategies for staying focused while you revise your work, especially for those with a short attention span, would be greatly appreciated.

Mmm, funny enough I've been thinking about editing and revisng my own work... now that my busy-busy time is over, I'll have more time on my hands (well, not that much). I was thinking of taking it one poem/article/story at a time. I don't want to set unreliasitc targets (like a poem a day as I don't know if I'll have time to do that much, ha ha)... but to take one piece out, polish it and then ask co-writers to help polish it more. Why don't we use Duplex (blog or the email group) for that?

Glad to see you're no longer snowed under. It's a good idea to start posting stories to polish. Email list seems to generate faster responses than Duplex though, don't you think? Sam
