I don’t have details of the book and the launch date yet and can’t wait to get my grubby paws on a copy.
As I mentioned previously on this blog, Baby loved Miss Behave and the Secret Agents, and looks forward to the next installment. She especially loved the detachable artwork and still plays with the pieces. I’ll post details of the book here as soon she sends them.
To check out Camille’s work, visit her Miss Behave Web site.
In other book news, we’ve finally decided to return The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy to the library. We’re still going through the collection local publishers sent through for review for something to read– I’ll post a review on the site soon.
Some media coverage
In the meantime, I’ve been profiled as a Player of the Week by well-known journalist, media analyst, ICT commentator Arthur Goldstuck on the Mail and Guardian’s Thought Leader
Arthur’s blog is called Amablogoblogo, and he seeks to answer the question of “who shakes and shapes the blogging field.”
He explains the concept of the Player of the Week here:
[The aim of Player of the Week] is to recognise effort, dedication, innovation, spirit of fun and community spirit. Traffic is not the criterion, nor is level of comment, nor Technorati-bestowed authority, Amatomu-blessed ranking, number of backtracks or length of sidetracks. Once selected, the thus selected blogger, developer or team will be named Blogger of the Week, and elected to the Amablogoblogo.Read the blog post here.
Thank you Arthur, for the kind words.
I was also asked to contribute a blog post to Rhiel Life. Blog owner Janet Rhiel was a fellow LK Summer Challenge participant, and she says her blog seeks to create connections through the arts and across cultures. I’ll post the link here as soon as the story goes up.
