Hi all, after reading this blog, i thought of a book i bought for myself and my mother called, Together: Creating Family Traditions
I think books are a great idea for Christmas. I like the ones i get something out of. For example, if a read a romance novel sure i'd be lost in the book. But with this book, I can use it day after day. My son loves the kids recipes. He's only 4 but he sure loves to help Mom cook. Especially dessert. It's also a great incentive for him to eat his dinner. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves nature, and bonding with their kids, because at the end of the day... they will appreciate you more. At least that's what i've found.

Thanks for the recommendation. I checked out the link, and the book sounded very interesting. As you say, something that adults and kids can enjoy together.
As to the rest of my visitors, please take Chrissy's example and suggest books that your kids/family enjoyed. It wouldn't hurt to have a comprehensive 'Readers' Choice" that people can use as a reference for birthday gifts next year.
