Blog Party Reminder
Our blog party starts this week, on the 25th November and lasts until the 10 October, and I'd like to remind you to start blogging sending me links to your posts, so I can schedule them. As you might remember, we're hosting this event to commemorate 16 Days Of Activism Against Gender Violence, which is a global event.

Damaria, I'm struggling. I really can't think of a topic to write on. My blessing is that I've only ever been around wonderful men (all alpha males) who protect every last hair on my head. If I can write from that angle maybe I can come up with a topic against gender violence but showing how "real" men act around women? What's your feeling? If that topic is okay, can you schedule my blog post as late as possible - have sick people all around me!! :)
Thanks
Judy
Hi Judy
Please write about the positive males who protect the women in their lives too. 16 Days is not a whining session about what can go wrong; it's also about encouraging people to take action and to celebrate those who do. And so many times men are seen as perpetrators of violence, and I'd like to also show that men can also be a positive influence, so that we can encourage more men to speak up, and to act, when they see violent acts being committed.
Personally I'd also like to kill the idea that gender campaigns demonise men. There are good men out there and we want to hear about them.
Scheduling
How about the 10th of december? It's teh last day of teh campaign, and your post ends the party on a positive note.
Okay. Seeing your reminder inspired me and I've done the post. Will email it to you for a look over. 10/12 is great. Once you approve the post I'll schedule it on my blog for that date.
I like the thought of not demonising men and ending the party on a positive note. :)

Fantabulous! I look forward to it.
how odd that some people have the idea that anti-gender violence campaigns demonise men - I wonder how many people with vehicle licenses feel demonised by anti-drink/drive campaigns ;-)
PS - hope you got my flurry of emails over the last coupla days, Damaria?
I did get the emails, thank you Moi. I'm doing a whole lot of reading and scheduling this afternoon. The wonderful part is that posts will then go live while I sleep:-)
