500 chicks and insulin injections

The weekend at Mma's was great. On Saturday I managed to inject her with insulin for the first time without shaking. ( I read the instructions here) She says she no longer feels like a pin cushion when I inject her, even though I had to take two tries before I got it right.

I also hung out with my younger brother and nephews, who cleaned out the chicken coop to get it ready for the new batch of 500 chicks, which arrived on today. My younger brother has decided to give weekend homesteading a try, and has cleared a large patch of land for growing vegetables too. One of my nephews will take care of the crops and the chickens for him during the week while he's off in Pretoria where he lives and works.

This week I plan to review Book 2 first pages and a couple of stories that I'm getting ready for publication. I also plan to do a lot of marketing now that my company brochure is ready.

What are you doing this week?

I have had nurses prick me numerous times trying to get X injection or blood draw right. Sounds like you are doing really well.

500 chickens - wow. Puts Husband's desire for four into perspective.

Best of luck with your stories and work this week!
