Happy Monday

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend?

I spent the weekend in Joburg with friends and it was lovely.  Some of it was work (dealing with outgoing tenant in one of  my places and incoming tenant), but I mostly felt like I was on holiday, and was reminded once again why I love living in this city.

I have a series of meetings today, including one with the communications head of a well-known foundation.  She's an old friend I haven't seen in years, and we hooked up again through LinkedIn. Would be nice if I landed an assignment with the foundation, because they do  the kind of work I believe in.

In terms of work, today I'm starting the reviewof the next chapter in Book 7. This writer works very fast, which I appreciate greatly.

I'm also looking into outsourcing the social media aspect of my business. I need someone who can aggressively market Damaria Senne Media, the online store, and the books that we're planning to release. I already found a potential someone and am just waiting for a detailed plan from her on how she will proceed with this, as well as checking her references.  If all goes well, then I'll be ahead.

How was your weekend? What's your plan for this week?

Well, my weekend was very relaxing, but I wouldn't say it was nice. I slept way too much and didn't do anything. It didn't feel good to sleep the days away, I don't know what got into me, but it feels pretty bleak to have done nothing at all.

i hope it was just your body pushing you to rest and that things will revert to normal soon.I do sometimes sleep too much, but sometimes it's because i need it and otherbtimes it's because I have nothing else to do, which can be depressing for me. i don't do well when i don't have anything to do.

As one of the friends who got some of your time, I'm so glad you were in Jozi this weekend! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
